Cookies and storage

Last updated: 27 October 2026.

This page lists everything inspiredworkx.com stores in your browser, and why. In short: a few things are stored because the site needs them, and the site counts visits without cookies. Outside the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, the site also uses Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, which set cookies to measure visits and the advertising that brought you here. In the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, neither loads, and nothing of theirs is stored. Below, each part says how to refuse it.

What the site needs

These are stored only because a part of the site you chose to use can't work without them. The law does not ask for your consent for these.

To refuse this one, clear it in your browser's settings, or email [email protected]; the site works without it.

Counting visits, without cookies

The site counts page views and measures how fast pages load, using Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Vercel's documentation says Web Analytics uses no third-party cookies; instead it recognises a visit by a code made from the incoming request, which is thrown away after 24 hours, and it records page views without tying them to a person or a network address. Speed Insights records page speed without tying it to a visitor. I use the counts only to see which pages are read and where visitors come from, never to build a profile of you, and they are not shared with anyone else or matched with other data.

To object to the counting: email [email protected]. It stores nothing in your browser, so there is nothing to clear, and the site has no switch for it.

Measuring visits and advertising, outside Europe

Outside the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, the site loads Google Analytics, which counts visits and how people move through the site, and the Meta Pixel, which tells Meta that a visit came from one of my adverts and lets me show adverts to people who have visited. Both set cookies on inspiredworkx.com, and Google and Meta receive what they record. The site first works out which country you are in from your network address, and remembers it in iwx_country; where you are in one of the countries below, or the site cannot tell, neither loads.

The countries are the 27 countries of the European Union with Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway; the United Kingdom; Switzerland; and the French territories outside Europe that are part of the European Union. To refuse these cookies anywhere, block them in your browser's settings, or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, external site; the site works without them. Meta lets you choose whether it shows you adverts based on your visits to other businesses' sites, in your Facebook settings, external site.

What the site does not use

No session recording, and none of the measurement and advertising cookies above in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland. The site's error monitoring (Sentry) records what went wrong when a page breaks, without cookies and without recording your screen. Newsletter emails tell Loops when they are opened and which links are clicked.

If this changes

If I ever add anything that is not listed here, this page will say so first. In the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, anything that is not needed to run the site will ask for your consent before it is stored.
